£200m Retail-led Lewisham Gateway project, Muse and Taylor Wimpey on the verge of starting works

Just as it began to look a laughing stock, the £200m Lewisham Gateway project could finally begin to get serious. Shorn of its cinema, and kept afloat on a raft of last-minute public sector funding, work on site could begin as soon as next spring. Earlier this year this turnaround seemed almost impossible. It is eight years since developers Muse and Taylor Wimpey were chosen to redevelop the technically tricky 13-acre site, and progress was glacial.
