Zipping through the trees on the Fforest Coaster

Zipping through the trees on the Fforest Coaster

| The Fforest Coaster is the latest activity to open in North Wales alongside Zip World Velocity, Titan, Zip World Caverns and Bounce Below. The half mile rollercoaster is a great addition the zip wire and underground trampolining attractions. |

The Fforest Coaster is the first of its kind in the UK, it is half a mile long and riders will be rocketed around Zip World Fforest in Betws Y Coed, Conwy.

The sledges are based on the Alpine toboggan and descend at speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour. Don’t worry, as this is gravity driven, more conservative riders can control their speed. There are self-braking and distance control systems to limit maximum speed and keep the distance in between the sledges. Each ride will last for about six minutes, depending on speed.

The Fforest Coaster will run throughout the day and will operate a queuing system rather than visitors being given a fixed time slot. Every hour, 35 sledges will whizz 250 adventure lovers around the new track.

Importantly considering the North Wales weather, the coaster will operate in all conditions all year round.
Zip World Fforest is also home to four other family-friendly adventures, including Treetop Nets – a treetop-based bounce adventure; Zip Safari – a journey on zip lines, rope bridges and obstacles; Plummet – the world’s highest Powerfan tree parachute simulator and Skyride – Europe’s highest and first five-sweater giant swing.
