A cinema in Dublin is launching the most comfy experience ever

The ODEON in Blanchardstown are launching a brand new cinema experience and we can’t wait to try it out.

Actor Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk) and his girlfriend Shona Guerin launched a brand new screen in the Odeon today that has…wait for it…leather reclining chairs and an Imax and iSense screen.

Yes please.

Tired of awkwardly trying to juggle a large popcorn, large drink and your ice cream on a tiny chair (or are we just pigs)?

Tired of having to stand up in the middle of a film when people need to squash by?

Tired of having a strangers rear end come into uncomfortably close proximity to your face?

The brand new ODEON Luxe screen has 340 fancy leather reclining chairs with loads of legroom and even has fancy trays for holding your food so there’ll be no more of those awkward pulling your knees up to your chin while people walk by moments.

Speaking at the launch Barry Keoghan said:

“The new ODEON Luxe fully reclining seating really brings luxury to going to the cinema and with the new IMAX screen and renovated iSense screen there really isn’t anywhere else I would want to go to see the latest films!”.

The newly renovated screen is 16.41 meters wide and 8.9 meters tall.

The new screen, coupled with the reclining chair will offer cinemagoers a fully immersive – not to mention cosy – cinema experience.

This is definitely the place to go for a first date lads.

Managing Director of ODEON, Carol Welch said:

“We couldn’t be more excited to be the first cinema in Ireland to offer both an ODEON Luxe iSense and IMAX experience.

“We want our guests to have the most comfortable and stunning viewing experience possible.”

We reckon this will be the ideal spot to watch Star Wars: The Last Jedi when it’s released on December 145.
