Dubai set to open $1.25B horse racing complex
Dubai, the Gulf sheikhdom ruled by the world’s biggest racehorse owner, opens a $1.25 billion racing complex today that can hold as many as 80,000 people.
The Meydan racecourse will host the first of 10 events culminating with the Dubai World Cup on March 27, the project’s grand opening, said Mohammed Al Hathbor, development manager for builder Meydan LLC.
