Town Square development ‘will create over 300 jobs’
A £10 million scheme, which includes a new five-screen cinema, restaurants and cafés, will be considered by Stratford District Council’s west area planning committee tomorrow evening.
Lease-holders London & Regional Properties have told the committee making the decision that the development will create over 300 jobs.
Yesterday, the UK development director of London & Regional, Geoff Springer, sent the committee a new report on its economic impact, plus one last letter highlighting its claimed benefits.
Stratford Town Council and the majority of Old Town residents are against the cinema because of its bulk and height, which they feel is not in keeping with the historical character of the town.
