A 100-year-old former cinema in West Yorkshire is being transformed into a development of 17 ‘technologically advanced’ apartments.
Currently used as an office building known as the Pavilion Business Centre, the former 644-seat Pavilion Cinema in Stanningley is being converted into a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments and duplexes by Trinity Developments and Starfish Investments.
Leeds-based Brewster Bye Architects has designed the scheme, to be known as Pavilion Court, which will see the development include smart home technology. Motion and mood lighting, automatic blinds and smart heating will feature in each property as well as car parking and bicycle storage.
Due to complete in spring 2020, major improvements are being made to the exterior of the building, based on the junction of Stanningley Road, Town Street and Half Mile Lane. This will include repairs to its render, brickwork, windows and roof, as well as remedial landscaping work…
