The Blagdon Estate is developing the scheme at Blyth’s South Beach which will include a Co-op convenience store and two other units.
Work is expected to start on the scheme next year with a view to it opening in 2022 and now the developers have started marketing the 1,000 sq ft and 3,500 sq ft units that are available in the scheme.
Ian Thurlbeck, director of property agents @retail, said: “In the past week we have launched the new website, brochure and marketing signage which is an exciting moment in the transformation of this site.
“Given the popularity of South Beach amongst tourists and day visitors, as well as the size of the local community, there are a range of uses that could work very well. We look forward to talking to established operators and new businesses about their ideas.”
As well as the shop units, the development will include more than 4,300 sq ft of commercial space on its first floor which the developer says could accommodate leisure uses, such as a health and fitness studio or restaurant.
A second phase of the scheme will be positioned at the southern end of the site where Blagdon Estate owns an additional two acres overlooking the beach. It said the land could be suitable for leisure or residential uses such as retirement living…
