The cinema chain which will take up residence in a new £16m complex in Somerset has confirmed when work on the new park is set to be completed.
The development in the middle of Bridgwater, which is called the Northgate Yard, will feature a seven-screen cinema, eight-lane bowling alley and sports bar, as well as multiple restaurants and other amenities.
The scheme will also feature outdoor meeting places and the near green space, Brewery Field, will be enhanced to feature an outdoor children’s play area and parkland with a pond and landscaped planting.
Work began on the Northgate site in May this year, having originally been slated to begin in January prior to the most recent coronavirus lockdown, and a fresh update has now been given on when the project is due to be completed.
Scott Cinemas, which has already been confirmed as the company that will operate the new cinema, confirmed on its Facebook page that the site was due to completed in April 2022, opening up the possibility of the facilities being open to the public at some stage next summer, having originally been slated to be finished in October 2022…
