H20 Esports Campus and Pathé debut Go! Gaming joint venture

Netherlands-based gaming centre H20 Esports Campus and Dutch cinema group Pathé Theaters have announced a new joint venture to bring gaming concepts into cinemas around the Netherlands. The new initiative, called Go!Gaming, will offer cinema-goers access to game consoles and PCs installed in Pathé lobbies around the Netherlands starting Q3 2021. The 10,000 square-meter multi-use facility is home to the Rabo Esports Stadium, which is cited as the largest permanent esports stadium in Europe. Preston’s Animate sparked into life by funding deal

The city council is to contribute £33m of the £40m required for the cinema and leisure scheme, to be delivered by Maple Grove Developments.  Yesterday, councillors signed off a funding agreement for the development, called Animate, marking a key milestone for the project ahead of the submission of a planning application in October.  Under the terms of the deal, around £3.5m for the project will come from Preston’s £20.9m Towns Deal award, and a further £3.25m will be from the Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal.  The land and…
