Center Parcs UK put up for sale ‘with £5bn price tag’

Asking price of at least £4 billion for UK entity of company Center Parcs has been put up for sale by its Canadian owner with a bid of up to £5bn expected for the UK resort chain, according to reports. Canadian private equity group Brookfield bought the business for around £2.4bn eight years ago and is said to be expecting to raise between £4bn and £5bn in the sale. ‘World of woke’ must not prevent children enjoying ‘age of innocence’, says peer

Conservative Baroness Seccombe voiced concerns as the House of Lords held its annual International Women’s Day debate. Children must be allowed an “age of innocence” amid the “misery” brought by the “new world of woke”, according to a Conservative peer. Baroness Seccombe said she fears for the future of her two great-grandchildren if “we do not come to our senses”.
