Planning permission not sought for Aberdeen Christmas Village

Planning permission has not been sought for Aberdeen’s Christmas Village which gets under way on Thursday, BBC Scotland has learned. A temporary change of use of land is allowed as long as it does not exceed 28 days. However this year’s event – which includes a market, fun fair and ice rink – will last for 40 days. Entertainment complex to add family thrills to Glasgow shopping centre

Silverburn Shopping Centre is set to host a new family entertainment complex boasting a “tropical beach area and interactive game zone” when it opens next year. Fun Street will span across two levels and house a number of different ‘zones,’ including a baby and toddler area, cafe and giant soft play and ball fountain, centre bosses have announced.
