Everyman cinema chain names Alex Scrimgeour as chief executive

Everyman, the upmarket cinema chain, has appointed Alex Scrimgeour as its next chief executive. Everyman Media Group said Scrimgeour, the previous boss of Côte Restaurants, will lead the company, known for its sofa seating and wine and food menus, from January 18.  The 49-year-old succeeds Crispin Lilly who in September tendered his resignation after almost six years as chief executive, in order to pursue personal interests.
