UK hospitality vacancy advertisements rise by 73%

Job postings in May and June 2021 rocketed 73% month-on-month for roles in the hospitality industry, whilst applications were down by 0.3%, according to new data from independent job board CV Library. In addition to its findings, a recent report by the online training provider, High Speed Training,  found that a third (33%) of the public felt that roles in hospitality offered “little progression” and are not considered careers for life, with further negative perceptions around low salaries and workplace stress. Hilton hotel development planned for Stockport

Create Developments has exchanged contracts with the local council to buy a plot of land next to the Redrock entertainment complex to deliver a 156-bedroom hotel The Blackpool-based developer aims to submit a planning application to Stockport Council for the proposed Hampton by Hilton hotel before the end of the year, and would aim to start on site in the second quarter of 2022.  The site of the hotel is currently used as a car park.
