£1.5m two-screen art house cinema approved for Weybridge, Surrey

Curzon has been awarded a licence to convert the former public hall in Weybridge into a £1.5 million two-screen art house cinema. The cinema chain plans to inhabit the empty Weybridge Hall building in Church Street on a 25-year lease. Going before the Elmbridge Borough Council licensing sub-committee via video link on Monday morning (July 6), lawyer Richard Taylor, representing Curzon, expanded more on the plans. Cinema complex in Edinburgh shopping centre recommended for approval

Plans for a new ten-screen multiplex cinema development in Cameron Toll should be approved, Edinburgh City Council’s Chief Planning Officer has recommended. The proposed cinema would be built as an extension to the existing Cameron Toll Shopping Centre and will include a separate restaurant, retail and GP practice.
