A multi-million pound retail and leisure park on the outskirts of Colchester has taken its “next vital step” in a long-running planning battle. The reserved matters planning application for Tollgate Village, in Stanway, includes greater detail of the northern and southern sections of the proposed £70million leisure, cinema and shopping complex on vacant land opposite Tollgate Retail Park and the former Sainsbury’s site. A massive new market hall is coming to intu Lakeside as part of their multi-million transformation. The market hall will be a huge 175,000 square foot development which will see food traders, trucks and pop-up areas. The new concept, called The Hall, was announced as the latest project by the mall, as their outdoor leisure and retail centre is due to open.
